What A Tale A Fox Could Tell ...

If you could read my mind love ... What a tale my thoughts could tell ... Just like an old time movie ... 'Bout a ghost from a wishing well ... In a castle dark or a fortress strong ... With chains upon my feet ... You know that ghost is me ... And I will never be set free ... As long as I'm a ghost you can't see ...

Day 21: First Filipino Day

It's our second Sunday here in Tokyo so we decided to go to church. We went to St. Ignatius at Yotsuya. It's almost an hour travel from TKC but it was okay. It wasn't that far for me. Or maybe I have already adjusted to the travel style here in Japan.

My gosh, the place was like Filipinotown. Chinatown still sounds better but let's just name it that way. Just after getting out of the station and crossing the street, you can already feel that your in Manila. The people there were talking in Filipino and you can really see that they are. They were also distributing magazines and newspapers for free. So being the curious ones that we are, we took some.

Hehehe ... one guy even said that he thought we weren't Filipinos. Do we really look Japanese now? Or it's just that we are here that people immediately assumes that we are.

It was nice to hear mass again. That was my first for this year ... I think. Ay wait, my second for this year. But first in Japan. It was an English mass with just 1 Filipino song that we sang. And the host was different. It was and tasted more like a biscuit that the one that we're used to have back home.

For lunch we went to Yoshinoya. The much talked place to eat back home. Yah the food's good and quite cheap. I guess it would have been a different experience for me if I haven't tried it first in Makati during my first ever business trip. But don't get me wrong I did enjoy the food. Probably I was expecting the exact taste. :D

And as we finished eating, I just saw like the most handsome guy in Japan. As in ma'am, I was like drolling inside. We even had some eye contact there. Shucks, maybe I should have smiled that time. Man ... another missed opportunity. When will I ever learn. :(

After that, we went to Ueno again but this time, we went to it by passing the Ameyoko Shopping Street. Man, it was like the night market in Thailand only it was at day time. There were lots of goods and wet goods there for sale. It was a little bit overcrowded but was manageable. Just have to be careful with your things though. One can't say what might happen.

Ah ... we now reached to our final destination for the day ... the Yamashiroya store. It was like Otaku heaven. Hehehe. It was an 8-storey building where each floor offered different kind of anime / cartoon figures, games, collectibles ranging from the local to those from the international characters. Wahh ... so liked the Stitch collectibles. Wanna buy one for myself but then again, I stopped and thought, what would I do with it if I'll buy that. :D
